HANZA appointed as strategic supplier to Athena Nordic
Hanza will produce CNIOR, a unique Swedish safety cell phone developed by Athena Nordic AB. The product, that has high demands for functionality, quality and reliability is at the moment going trough an advanced industrialization project at HANZA prior to volume production that will take place later this spring.
HANZA AB, Sweden’s leading supplier of complete contract manufacturing has been appointed as strategic supplier to Athena Nordic AB for their unique safety cell phone, CNIOR. The new safety phone will differ from the previous generations as it also will provide safety outside of the home.
”CNIOR is a modern and advanced product that we are trusted to industrialize prior to volume manufacturing and that will end up in a very stable product”, says Morgan Andersson, Sales and Marketing Manager, HANZA. “Athena Nordic has made a professional selection for procurement that includes services and manufacturing from HANZAs know-how center at Gotland.”
Current generation municipal safety phones, which have their roots from the 70’s, work well only inside the home. CNIOR is the first of its kind where today’s seniors receive the same safety outdoors. With one button to call and one button to alarm, Athenas safety phone is user-friendly as it is secure.
“We have a high ambition with our new generation safety phones” says Stefan Andersson, MD Athena Nordic AB. “For this reason it is important for us to have a manufacturer that can support our engineers with production adaptation of our products. That kind of service is a prerequisite in order to keep the right price and quality. We also see an advantage cooperating with a Swedish contract manufacturer as CNIOR will be manufactured by HANZAs unit on Gotland”.
The industrialization will be ongoing this spring after which volume manufacturing of CNIOR will start.
